Tombow Pencil Co., Ltd. (Head office: Kita-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Akihiro Ogawa) will release a limited edition of the glue stick “Kieiro Pit S” (10g capacity) in colors that fade away, such as “water surface” and “twilight,” called “Kieiro Pit S Itsuka Mita Kieiro (Saw it Disappear)”on February 26th at stationery stores and stationery corners nationwide.

The body colors are “Water Surface”, “Sunlight Through the Trees”, “Afternoon”, “Twilight”, and “Showers” (from left in the photo). The suggested retail price is 154 JPY each (140 JPY excluding tax).

Water Surface shows light and silhouettes glimmering and disappearing on the rippling surface of the water.
Sunlight filtering through the trees is the color of sunlight sparkling as it filters through lush leaves.
Late afternoon is the moment you lose track of time, enveloped in gentle sunlight.
Twilight is brilliantly colored twilight where day and night dynamically intersect.
Passing shower shows the atmosphere of a rain-soaked cityscape and lush vegetation.

Product Basic features
■The glue is blue so you can see where it has been applied, making it easy to apply neatly and without waste. When it dries the blue color disappears and becomes transparent (glue color is neutralized by components in the paper and carbon dioxide in the air, causing the color to disappear).

■Fast adhesion time and high strength, so it can be used on a wide range of papers, from regular to thick papers.

Colors and designs satisfy the soul and empathize with “emotional consumption.”
The trend toward “emotional consumption” among young people, where people coordinate their favorite colors and designs to achieve emotional satisfaction is growing. (A trend away from “non-materialistic consumption” based on stable product characteristics, quality, and price). This is consumer behavior when users encounter a color or design that resonates with them and evokes their experiences and memories.
This product is inspired by the “disappearing glue color” characteristic of “Kieiro Pit,” and is a project that empathizes with “emotional consumption” by developing five “Kieiro” colors on the body that bring back deep memories of something you’ve seen before.

Product label graphics have been reduced to improve the design.
The product itself is only labeled with the “PiT” and “Kieiro” corporate logos, product name (size), product group, product number, and other important information, and is printed in a light silver color. Warnings (purpose, usage, precautions, cautions), environmental information, contact information, distributor, barcode, etc. printed on the body of the standard Pit glue are instead printed on the protective film that seals the body and so the design has been improved by reducing the number of label graphics.
