Will be launched sequentially at stationery stores and stationery departments nationwide. Suggested retail price (12 colors in tin pack) is 1,012 JPY (920 JPY excluding tax). Refill colored pencils (1 piece) price 77 JPY (70 JPY excluding tax). Up until now, colored pencils, including those for school children, have mainly had round shafts, but parents prefer hexagonal shafts, which are less likely to roll and can be gripped more securely. This product does not easily roll around on the desk, so you can choose from many colors taken out of the tin box. Even children who don’t have a stable grip can draw holding it properly with thumb, index finger, and middle finger (like regular a pencil).
Tombow has been selling colored pencils with hexagonal shafts for writing (red and blue pencils, etc.), but in recent years this product is the only hexagonal shaft colored pencil for drawing (medium-hard). Hexagonal shaft, colored pencils can be found in overseas products.

Beautiful and warm pencils made from certified forest materials
Uses wood certified by the PEFC* international forest certification system for the pencil shaft (PEFC/31-31-167). The tree species is incense cedar, which has a beautiful surface and is warm to the touch and so considered the ideal material for pencils.

The photo shows three adorable yet strong animals living in the wild: a bottlenose dolphin, a red panda, and an emperor penguin.
