Tombow Pencil Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Akihiro Ogawa) has agreed to license* the MONO brand to Classico Co., Ltd. (located in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Arata Ohwa), a manufacturer of medical uniforms focusing mainly on white lab coats. From September 7th of this year Classico will launch a line of scrubs (medical lab coats) that incorporate the MONO brand symbol mark, the blue, black and white tri-color pattern as well as the MONO logotype. (MONO eraser tri-color is a registered color trademark) *License agreement primarily for medical clothing.

The target products are Classico’s “Scrub Canvas Club” No. 8 “MONO Scrub Tops” (unisex) and “MONO Scrub Pants” (unisex). Please refer to Clasico’s press release for product details.

Our goal with the Classico scrub collaboration project is to “deliver smiles to the medical field” and “through collaboration that transcends the boundaries of the industry use scrubs worn by medical professionals every day as a canvas to create scrubs that bring a little bit of excitement and fun to the medical field as well as to make not only medical workers but also patients feel cheerful.’
