History of Mechanical Pencil

It is said that the key run of the United States was announced by the name of “Eversharp” almost 100 years ago.
The first domestically produced by Hayakawa Metal (current Sharp Co., Ltd.) was released in the Taisho era.
The first knock mechanism was developed and released by a domestic manufacturer in 1960. It is said that the core of 0.5 mm was developed in 1962, and it came to be used widely in general though it did not become widespread because it was only a core of 0.9 mm at that time. To write a Japanese, 0.5 mm was perfect, so it was spread like this.
After that, the knock mechanism SHARP “h-300k (1967)” etc. were released in the Tombow Pencil , and 100 yen sharp appeared when becoming the 1980s, and it became a big hit.
