Correction tapes ：How much strength to put on tapes
The power required for correction is light at the beginning and heavy at the end. The power needed to rotate the reel equals to the radius multiplying the force. Therefore, more strength is needed at the beginning, since the reel has larger diameter. As the reel gets smaller, less strength is needed.
