Mechanical pencils ：Why does the lead pull back

This phenomenon occurs when the lead is shortened and the Chuck no longer takes. When the lead is still long and it is withdrawn even in the state that it hangs to the chuck, it is possible to become slippery with the lead in the chuck inside by the lack of the fixed ability of the chuck.
